WG Environmental Law
Description
Environmental law is a rapidly evolving and
continuously impacting different areas of national, European and international
law and governance.
The AEAJ Working Group on Environmental Law aims
to enhance knowledge, efficiency, and effectiveness of administrative
judges in handling cases related to environmental issues, ensuring that legal
decisions contribute to environmental justice.
We promote consistency,
build capacity, and foster collaboration among judges to ensure that
environmental cases are handled with the highest standards of legal and
scientific understanding.
Annual seminars allow us to create a platform of exchange for legal precedents, case studies, and best practices related
to environmental adjudication.
The seminars invite as speakers leading experts from across Europe and the world. In the past, we had the privilege to get inspired by
scholars from various Universities (Coimbra, Helsinki, Milan, Osaka, Oxford, Vilnius)
and the Environmental Law Institute in Washington D.C.
