Conference “Access to Administrative Justice in order to seek fundamental rights
on 12th and 13th of November 2009 in Palermo
 
Programme:

Thursday, 12th November:
Afternoon (app. 2 pm) plenary meeting, in Palazzo Steri, Piazza Marina, 90133
 
-Welcome speech by Mrs Linda Sandulli, president of the Italian Association of Administrative Judges
 
 -introductory contribution, given by Professor Francesco Viola, Director of the Doctorate School of the Law Faculty in the University of Palermo on "Legal interpretation and human rights"
 
 -national presentations and presentations of the national cases: for each participating country one participant gives a short presentation of the legal situation and presents the national case, in total maximum 15 minutes for each participant
 
- common dinner (app. 8 pm) might be organized, either on own costs of the participants or eventually on invitation
 
Friday, 13th November:
 
Morning (start app. 9.30 am) meeting of subgroups in the Court building of the administrative tribunal, Via Butera, 6:

 -discussion of the cases presented in probably 2 subgroups and drafting possible solutions (i.e. each subgroup deals with half of the amount of the national cases delivered)
 
 -lunch in the Hotel Porta Felice on own costs of each participant
 
Friday, afternoon (app. 2 pm), plenary meeting in Palazzo Steri:
 
 -presentation of the solutions of the cases by the speakers of the subgroups
 
 -general discussion in the plenary and distribution of the solutions of the cases
 
 -presentation of the summary of the questionnaire on legal aid
 
Evening (app. 8 pm): common dinner might be organized on own costs of each participant
Please note that even though the meeting is funded by the European Commission our association is the only responsible for its content and its carry out.
Please note again also the conditions for reimbursement of costs for those participants, being funding, as written in the invitation letter of 13th July 2009. Therefore it is advisable to keep copies of the original boarding passes or travel documents, which need to be sent to our treasurer after the meeting.
