This conference, jointly organised by the AEAJ and ICEL, will consider the question of remedies against public authorities for breaches of EU law and the European Convention of Human Rights. Issues covered will include remedies for breach of the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the ECHR and the Aarhus Convention. There will be a particular focus on EU environmental law and the remedies available where a public authority fails to act. Attendees will be provided with a general update on remedies cases before the EU courts and the national courts, as well as having the opportunity to discuss practical issues in the context of real-life examples, with an afternoon case study.
